European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
AVL List, an Austrian automotive engineering company, announced the elimination of around 180 jobs in its Graz facility, reducing the number of employees to below 3,000.
The layoffs are driven by weak market demand and postponed investment decisions from German and European customers, prompting the company to align its cost base with the current environment.
The cuts target engineering, measurement technology and administration departments. All terminations involve amicable agreements across multiple departments.
The job cuts represent the second wave of a two-wave restructuring that began in January, when a reduction of approximately 350 positions was announced AVL List - AT and a further totalled reduction of 450 jobs in 2025 AVL List - AT, AVL List - AT.
