European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Software Product Creation, the Spanish subsidiary of the Globant Group in Spain (an Argentinian technology multinational), has announced the dismissal of 172 employees, about 15.3 % of its Spanish workforce.
The company employs 1,121 staff across four centres in Spain: Barcelona, Logroño, Madrid and Málaga. The reduction is part of a collective dismissal (ERE) aimed at restructuring operations within the country. All four sites will see losses, though the distribution per location remains undisclosed. Trade unions have opposed the measure and warned of legal action if alternative solutions are not offered.
