Description
The Wellbeing Services County of Central Finland, a Finnish public health and social services authority, announced a potential reduction of up to 570 person-years in its workforce as part of its next year’s budgetary savings target of €60 million. The cuts will affect the entire organisation across Central Finland.
The internal restructuring is driven by fiscal constraints to cover an accumulated deficit that must be balanced by 2030. Cooperation negotiations are underway with employee representatives to determine the final number of job losses and how the reductions will be implemented.
The Wellbeing Services County has, in total, approximately 12,500 employees, all covered by the negotiations. The county underwent its last cooperation negotiations, resulting in hundreds of job losse, in the end of 2025 The Wellbeing Services County of Central Finland 2025 - FI
