Description
ROQ, a ROQ Group company based in Vila Nova de Famalicão and operating in the metalworking sector, has initiated a collective redundancy process affecting 55 employees, representing a reduction of approximately 11% of its workforce.
The decision is mainly due to a significant decline in orders and increased competition from Asia, with manufacturers in Asian countries offering lower prices and gaining a larger share of the international market.
According to management, the measure is part of a restructuring process aimed at adjusting the size of the business to the current decline in demand and controlling costs, with a view to ensuring the company’s financial sustainability and continued operations over the medium to long term.
