Description
CAIP (Hungary) Intelligent Cockpit System, a Hungarian subsidiary of Chinese automotive parts manufacturer Jiangsu Changshu Automotive Trim Group, has inaugurated its newly constructed 31 000-square-meter production unit in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. The plant will produce interior components, primarily dashboards.
The investment is expected to create roughly 400 new jobs. The initial hiring wave will involve about 60-70 staff, and full operations expected to begin by year-end 2026. In addition to the direct job creation, the CEO expressed their intention to build local business partnerships and collaborate with suppliers, educational institutions and the local business community.
A second phase of the investment is under preparation: according to the plan, it will entail the doubling of the floor area of the production site over the next three years. The new plant will produce automotive interior components such as dashboards, primarily for leading European OEMs. The Nyíregyháza plant is the conglomerate's first European production site, although it has a trade and logistics office in Munich, Germany.
