Description
Dumarey, a Tuscan automotive component manufacturer based in Fauglia and San Piero a Grado near Pisa, currently has 850 employees covered by solidarity contracts that run until the end of 2026. The restructuring is a response to Volkswagen factory closures and aims to preserve employment through extended solidarity agreements rather than immediate layoffs.
Job losses are concentrated within the Fauglia and San Piero a Grado sites, while all 850 employees remain under protection until 31/12/2026. However the company mentioned they won't extend the protection to next year.
Social partners involved include Fiom Cgil; they have advocated for contract extensions and engaged with regional authorities to safeguard employment in the sector.
