Description

HSBC Service Delivery, the Kraków-based global service centre of the HSBC banking group, is undergoing a restructuring affecting its Polish operations. Media reports indicate that around 400 jobs may be cut at the Kraków centre, which employs more than 6,000 professionals and provides operational, technology, risk and business services to HSBC entities in 27 countries.

HSBC confirmed that employees were informed in June 2026 about the reduction of 128 positions, affecting areas including IT, HR and cybersecurity. The restructuring is linked to HSBC’s global transformation, changes in its service delivery model and the transfer of some tasks and processes to India, alongside wider cost and automation pressures in the business services sector. HSBC stated that the changes do not mean a withdrawal from Kraków and that the centre will focus on more specialised roles. Affected employees are to receive redeployment support, retraining, severance payments and additional benefits.
