Description

Siemens, a German technology conglomerate, announced the creation of approximately 700 new jobs across its production facilities in Frankfurt and Offenbach by the end of 2030. The investment will create jobs in production, logistics and administration.The investment will create jobs in production, logistics and administration.

Siemens will expand production at its two existing switchgear plants in Frankfurt, including the construction of a new production hall scheduled for completion by October 2027. In addition, the company will establish a new supplier facility in Offenbach, where construction is due to begin in July 2026 and operations are expected to start in spring 2027. The expansion is being driven by the global surge in demand for data centres, fuelled by artificial intelligence, which requires a high number of switchgears.

Siemens currently employs around 86,000 people in Germany.

Previous internal restructurings were recorded in the ERM database in 2025, including the reduction of 2,850 positions in Germany Siemens 2025 - DE and the creation of 500 jobs in Allach, Germany Siemens Mobility 2025 - DE.
