Description

Nike, an American sportswear company, announced a second round of layoffs affecting about 1,400 roles in its global operations, mainly within its technology department.

The cuts target employees across North America, Asia and Europe. The restructuring is part of Nike’s “Win Now” turnaround strategy to reshape its tech team, modernise manufacturing, relocate some Converse operations and integrate material supply chain functions, reflecting a digital transition as automation expands.

Job losses are concentrated in technology and most of the 1,400 positions will be eliminated across the regions mentioned. The layoffs were announced on 23 April 2026, with affected employees notified from 27 April 2026 onward.
