Description
Metlen, a Greek industrial and energy group active in defence manufacturing through its M Technologies department, announced a new high-tech defence equipment production unit in Volos, Thessaly, expected to create 200 new jobs. The first official company announcement was made on 2 September 2025, when METLEN announced the Final Investment Decision for the fourth production unit at its M Technologies Hub in the A’ Industrial Area of Volos. The new unit will cover more than 10,000 square metres and forms part of a wider defence-industrial hub, developed through strategic partnerships with international defence companies, including Naval Group, Thales and KNDS. On 23 June 2026, METLEN announced that the fourth production unit had been inaugurated and had entered full production.
