Description

Merz, a German pharmaceutical company, announced the opening of a new packaging centre for its botulinum toxin product in Dessau‑Roßlau in June 2026. The company plans to create up to 250 jobs as part of a €100 million investment, with completion scheduled for 2028.

The expansion is driven by strong growth in international markets and the need to meet rising global demand for both cosmetic and neurological applications of botulinum toxin. All production activities are now consolidated in Dessau‑Roßlau.

Merz employs around 5,500 people worldwide, 450 of whom are employed in Dessau‑Roßlau.
