Description
LMC Caravan, a German caravan manufacturer, has announced the reduction of 106 jobs at its Sassenberg facility. A total of 88 employees will leave the company on 31 July 2026, with the remaining 18 departing on 31 January 2027.
The company is undergoing an internal restructuring prompted by a severe industry downturn, necessitating significant cost reductions. The redundancies form part of a broader cost-saving programme, and the spare parts warehouse and warranty processing will be outsourced.
The company emphasises that the job cuts will be implemented in a socially responsible manner. Accordingly, affected employees will have the option to transfer to a transfer company, undertake further training, and receive support in finding new employment.
LMC Caravan currently employs around 850 people prior to the job cuts.
