Description
Ryanair, an Irish airline, announced a major expansion for the summer 2026 in the Emilia-Romagna region, creating 445 jobs across the regional airports of Rimini, Forlì, and Parma. The initiative follows the region’s decision to abolish the council tax for these airports, which is expected to lower operating costs and support a 50% increase in passenger traffic to more than 700,000 annually. The plan includes nine new routes, a 5% rise in available seats to 5.3 million, and 83 total routes, with the expansion concluding by the end of 2026.
