European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
La Cocos, a Romanian retailer, has announced the opening of its 8th store in Oradea. The new Hypercash outlet is located in Oradea (Bihor County), will cover about 11 000 square meters and is expected to create 160 new jobs at the local level.
The expansion is part of the group’s strategy to strengthen its national footprint across Romania, following the launch of outlets in Brasov, Ploiesti, Bucuresti, Pitesti, Craiova and Arad. The company, founded in 2014 and part of the Schwarz Group—owner of Lidl and Kaufland—reports a 2025 turnover of approximately €300 million.
The Oradea store opening on 17 June 2026 will further support local employment and the broader retail network.
