Description

Maurer Tempé, a French charcuterie cooperative, has announced its liquidation, resulting in 109 job cuts at its Kingersheim site. The company, which has long been known for its traditional specialities, faced severe financial distress due to escalating costs of raw-material costs and energy price shocks. It had previously transformed into a cooperative in 2019, following its first insolvency proceedings.

Although a takeover offer was proposed, it was not considered sufficient by the court.

The company's workforce was of 109 employees.
