Description
Evosoft, a German software company and subsidiary of Siemens, has announced that 377 jobs will be cut at its Nuremberg site by the end of 2027.
The job losses are due to the closure of the Evosoft site. The closure follows a corporate decision by Siemens to develop IT and software services internally or abroad, resulting in Evosoft losing its main client. This move reflects Siemens’ broader strategic realignment and its focus on its core business areas. As a result, the workforce at the Nuremberg site will be reduced across all departments.
The company now plans to enter into discussions with employee representatives to determine how the job cuts will be carried out. Evosoft employees have also been advised to apply for open positions within Siemens.
Evosoft employs around 2,100 people in Germany and Hungary.
