Description

Indorama Ventures, a Thai group, is shutting its Longlaville (Meurthe-et-Moselle) plant rendering 162 employees redundant. The plant, which produced polyester yarn for tyres, will cease production on 22 June 2026. Trade union representatives and the factory's management came to an agreement on the job saving plan. It includes exceptional bonuses, severance payments and relocation leave for affected workers. The restructuring is justified by increased foreign competition. In 2024, the factory only ran at half its production capacity due to lack of demand.

Indorama Ventures has more than 25 000 employees worldwide.
