European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
La Maison du Sol, a French retailer specialising in floor coverings and part of the British Headlam Group, was liquidated rendering its 156 employees redundant. The company was placed in insolvency proceedings after the Headlam Group decided to divest itself of low-margin subsidiaries. It failed to find a buyer.
La Maison du Sol employed individuals across 16 sales agencies in various cities, including Rouen, Lyon, Lille, Strasbourg, and Rennes.
Prior to the liquidation, La Maison du Sol had 156 employees.
