European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
General Dynamics European Land Systems Santa Barbara Sistemas, a Spanish defence company, has announced the creation of over 200 positions in its manufacturing facilities in Trubia (Asturias), Alcalá de Guadaíra (Sevilla) and Madrid.
The new hires will support the 10-year VAC and Pizarro modernization programmes, with recruitment beginning in 2025 and expected to conclude by 31 12 2035. The expansion is driven by the Spanish Ministry of Defence’s procurement plans, ensuring continued production capacity for Spain’s armored vehicles and preparation for the modernization of the army.
