Description
MCE Bank, a German financial services company, announced the closure of its sites in Flörsheim and Flensburg, resulting in 220 job cuts. The bank, which has been part of Santander Consumer Bank since 2022, will cease its operations by 31 December 2026.
The decision follows Santander’s strategy to streamline its mobility financing business in Germany, with the aim of consolidating services and improving operational efficiency. The move is part of the parent company’s broader restructuring of its activities in Germany. In the future, MCE Bank’s business operations will be continued from Santander’s headquarters.
MCE Bank has been a financing partner of Mitsubishi Motors in Germany since 1987. In addition, it supports dealers of the brands Isuzu, GWM and Subaru in the sale of their vehicles.
