Description
Unia Famarol sp. z o.o., a Polish manufacturer of agricultural machinery and part of UNIA Group, plans collective redundancies at its plant in Słupsk and potentially at two other plants in Poland.
Media reports indicate that around 170 employees may lose their jobs at the Słupsk site, while the total number of planned job reductions across the company may reach up to 350. The company employs around 925 people in three Polish plants. The restructuring is linked to a decline in orders and weaker demand for agricultural machinery.
The planned redundancies have been notified to the public employment services, and cooperation between the employer and the labour office has been initiated. The local Solidarity trade union has been informed and preliminary talks have taken place, but no agreement has been reached.
