Description
Ringier Axel Springer Polska, a Polish media and technology company, announced collective redundancies affecting around 12% of its workforce. The company currently employs around 1,600 people, which corresponds to approximately 190 planned job reductions.
The restructuring is linked to changes in media consumption, declining traffic from digital platforms, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence tools and large technology platforms on publishers’ revenues. Consultations with trade unions are ongoing, after which employees are expected to receive details on the criteria and conditions of departure. The trade union Inicjatywa Pracownicza criticised the planned cuts.
