Description
Construcciones Industriales, Montajes e Ingenierías (CIMISA), a Spanish construction and engineering firm, has announced the dismissal of approximately a hundred employees across its subsidiaries in Rovés, Corvera, and Madrid.
The layoffs are being carried out in conjunction with a bankruptcy file, as the company declares it lacks the financial means to sustain its operations and to pay the due severance. The unions have rejected the company’s proposal to claim indemnities from Fogasa, insisting on alternative mechanisms to secure workers’ compensation.
The dismissal is being implemented immediately, with the process expected to conclude once the bankruptcy file is formalised.
