Description

Unide, a Spanish cooperative retail group, has announced the creation of 225 new jobs as part of its expansion strategy for 2026. The firm operates in the grocery retail sector and currently employs around 3000 workers. The new positions will be added across its network of supermarkets, with the core automation hub located in Valdemoro.

The growth plan is driven by a focus on modernising logistics through automated systems and strengthening digital capabilities, including the optimisation of its mobile app and loyalty program. Unide also plans to open roughly fifty new supermarkets, reinforcing its presence in the Spanish market. The job gains are concentrated in Valdemoro and the wider Spanish retail network, with the automation platform playing a central role in creating the positions.
