Description

Amazon, a global e-commerce and logistics company, announced plans to open two new distribution centres in Cottbus and Dahlewitz creating about 420 new jobs.

The distribution centre in Cottbus is expected to open in September and will create 70 new jobs. The centre in Dahlewitz is planned to open in October. It will be twice as large, but the company has not stated how many new employees will be hired there. However, the two new distribution centres will lead to the recruitment of around 350 additional delivery drivers.

The expansion shortens delivery times for regional customers and boosts parcel-handling capacity, reflecting Amazon’s focus on logistics efficiency.

Amazon already operates three distribution centres in Brandenburg employing around 1,000 people in the region.
