Description
Eisberg Polska, a Polish producer of fresh-cut salads and vegetable convenience products, announced the closure of its plant in Legnica, Lower Silesia, affecting the entire workforce of nearly 200 employees at the site.
The facility had been acquired only a few months earlier as part of Green Factory’s takeover of Eisberg operations in Poland, Hungary and Romania. Public reports indicate that the company decided to end production in Legnica despite earlier expectations of development following the acquisition. The case appears to form part of a wider regional restructuring of production capacity within the group.
A newly established trade union has publicly appealed for support for the affected workers.
