Description
Tenerife Shipyards, a Spanish ship repair company, announced the creation of approximately 600 new jobs with the launch of its floating dry dock, Hidramar Ultra 22000, in Puerto de Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The facility, built in China and transported over two months, will operate in 90 days, marking a significant expansion of the local maritime industry. The project aims to boost qualified employment, training local welders and naval engineers, and to position the archipelago as a global service hub for large vessel repairs.
The initiative reflects a strategic investment of more than 50 million euros and will contribute to regional economic growth.
