Description

Markos, a Polish manufacturer of fibre-glass reinforced composite products, announced 150 job cuts at its site in Głobino near Słupsk, affecting administrative staff, specialists and part of the technical and production workforce.

The company said the redundancies were caused by a worsening financial situation, falling orders and the need to reduce operating costs, with dismissals planned between 5 and 31 May 2026. Talks with trade unions are underway, and employee organisations have said they will seek to limit the scale of redundancies and support affected workers. Markos employs approximately 800 and operates in the composite manufacturing sector, supplying products for the maritime, energy and transport industries.
