Description
IKEA Industry Poland is cutting around 240 jobs at its furniture manufacturing plant in Wielbark, where the workforce totals about 1,500 employees.
The Wielbark site produces solid pine wood furniture and is one of the company’s major production plants in Poland. The redundancies are linked to lower-order volumes and to an adjustment in production capacity, continuing a broader downsizing trend affecting IKEA Industry’s Polish operations. Public reporting indicates that dismissal notices are being issued in April 2026, while workers have raised concerns about the criteria used to select employees for redundancy. The agreement reportedly provides severance linked to seniority, additional compensation of up to two months’ pay and support in finding new employment.
Previous ERM case for IKEA Industry Poland include IKEA Industry Poland 2026 and IKEA Industry Poland 2020.
