Superstar Components is a British company based in Lincoln (UK). Established in 2006, it produces and sells bicycle components. Since the very beginning, the company had out-sourced and off-shored production activities. However, delivery times have been dramatically increased reaching up to 7-8 months. Therefore, in 2016 the company decided to reshore manufacturing in its Lincoln plant where auotomated production lines were installed. The process automation permitted to better control the production process and reduce delivery time, while maintaining cost effectiveness.
