Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Cobham Satcom, a producer of communications equipment, is to create up to 200 jobs in Pandrup (Northern Jutland). The job creation is a result of the company’s relocation of part of its production and warehouse operations to Jammerbugt. This partly includes the relocation of some of its U.S. operations to Denmark. The company expects to occupy the new facilities by the end of 2014. The plans are part of a move to strengthen the company’s profile in Denmark after taking over the Danish communications company Thrane & Thrane in 2012. The Danish headquarters of Cobham are placed in Lyngby in the outskirts of Copenhagen. The company’s facilities in Pandrup were previously part of the operations of Siemens and Flextronics.
