European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Agfa, a Belgian imaging specialist, announced a cost saving plan that will affect 145 employees in its traditional film activities. The company will implement the measures throughout 2026 and 2027.
The restructuring forms part of a cost‑saving plan aimed at adjusting the cost base of Agfa’s traditional film activities to current market realities. The company points to long‑standing difficult market conditions in this segment, which has been under sustained pressure for some time, as the key reason for the restructuring.
The plan relies on natural attrition where possible. Employees have already completed information and consultation talks, and a social agreement has been reached with trade unions.
