Description

Safran, a French manufacturer, announced the creation of 300 new positions at its Domérat production site in 2026, specialised in defense electronics and armament. The recruitment aims to support the quadrupled production of guidance kits and range-enhancement modules for AASM bombs, reflecting increased demand for France’s strategic defense capabilities.

The expansion is driven by a strategic push to strengthen France’s industrial base and maintain sovereign production capacity in the face of evolving geopolitical tensions.

The company’s workforce at the site prior to the expansion was 1,646 employees.

This comes after a large wave of recruitment in France in 2025, when Safran announced recruiting 2,000 workers: Safran 2025 - FR.
