Description
Thales, a French defence, aerospace and digital security group, announced the creation of around 2,200 jobs in France in 2023, mainly within its research and development activities, as part of a global restructruing: Thales 2023 - WO.. The recruitment drive concerns roles in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, algorithmics and systems engineering, with hiring taking place across the country during 2023.
The expansion follows a record year for the group and reflects strong growth across its core business areas, notably defence, aerospace and digital security. According to management, sustained demand in these sectors is driving increased needs for skilled labour, particularly young and highly qualified technical profiles, with digital technologies playing a central role in the group’s development strategy.
Thales currently employs around 77 000 people worldwide, about half of whom work in France. Over the previous eight years, it is believed the company has been hiring on approximately 5000-8000 people per year.
