Description
ING, a Dutch banking group, announced up to 950 job cuts in the Netherlands as part of a wider reduction of around 1,250 operational roles worldwide ING 2026 - NL, affecting mainly anti-money-laundering and related operational activities in Amsterdam and other Dutch functions.
The measure was presented on 18 March 2026 during an investor conference and is linked to a broader digitalisation and AI programme intended to improve efficiency and generate around €350 million in cost savings by 2026. Part of the affected work concerns KYC and associated activities, where ING says technology can automate repetitive checks and allow output growth without equivalent staff increases.
