Description

Syneos Health Italy, a US-based multinational company operating in the fields of clinical research and pharmaceutical development services, has announced 49 job cuts affecting its Italian workforce of 319 employees.

The restructuring has led to strong opposition from Filcams CGIL, Fisascat CISL and Uiltucs UIL. They have asked for the process to be stopped and have expressed concern about a process of relocation through the transfer of functions and workloads to other countries. The unions have reaffirmed their commitment to engaging in a serious and transparent dialogue to identify alternative solutions to the dismissals and to safeguard the entire employment perimeter. They have brought the matter to the attention of the relevant ministries by formally requesting an urgent crisis meeting, emphasising that the restructuring contradicts the group’s global expansion.
