Description
The regional transportation provider of Helsinki, HSL, is starting cooperation negotiations covering all of its 433 employees.
The negotiations are said to lead to the dismissal of up to 48 employees. Additionally, the work tasks or employment contracts of up to 99 employees will be subject to changes.
According to HSL, it is necessary to streamline operations due to increasing costs that are not matched by the operating income of HSL. HSL wants to reduce its need for public financial support by 4.3 percentage points.
The negotiations do not affect public transport drivers because they are employed by transport operators.
