Danske Bank, Denmark’s largest lender, has announced that it plans to cut 420 jobs worldwide.
Significant reductions are expected at its service hub in Lithuania with 114 job cuts: Danske Bank 2026 - LT, while about 230 roles will be cut in Denmark Danske Bank 2026-DK . The layoffs will also occur in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Poland, and Northern Ireland. The layoffs primarily target back-office staff and support functions rather than customer-facing roles.
According to the bank, these organizational changes are part of ongoing adjustments aimed at strengthening digital capabilities, streamlining internal processes, and ensuring the organisation remains aligned with evolving customer needs across markets.
