SCOR, a French company specialised in insurance, reinsurance and capital markets is expanding its office in Romania. Following the appointment of a new director, the company aims to hire 300 people in the coming period and transform the local centre into one of the group’s core hubs.
The Romanian office is in full development and is set to become one of the company’s most important centre. SCOR is primarily seeking IT professionals, but also economists, actuaries, and other insurance specialists. The main activity of the local office will focus mainly on risk analysis rather than the reinsurance process itself.
SCOR was founded in 1970 with the support of the French government (its original name was Société Commerciale de Réassurance). Currently, the company manages invested assets worth €24.2 billion, has 3,621 employees and serves 5,000 clients across 37 offices worldwide.
