Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Bureau Veritas, a French certification, testing and inspection firm, announced the creation of 168 job in the Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes region, with the recruitment campaign set to run through the end of 2026. Overall, 10 workers will be hired in Drôme, 10 in Isère, 10 in Loire, 8 in Puy‑de‑Dôme, 12 in Savoie and 4 in Haute‑Savoie.
The company is expanding to support the growth of its regional activities across several key sectors, including agriculture, energy, rail, transport and construction. The recruitment campaign therefore spans several professions such as engineers, technicians, diagnosticians, auditors and study officers.
Founded in 1828, Bureau Veritas is listed on the CAC 40 (Paris market index), generated €6.3 billion in revenue in 2024, operates in 140 countries through more than 1,600 offices and laboratories, and employs 84,000 staff worldwide, of whom 8,500 work in France.
