Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Thales, a French defence-technology firm, has announced the creation of 200 new jobs in Portugal as part of its strategic talent acquisition plan for 2026. It foresees the recruitment of more than 9,000 engineering professionals worldwide. Hiring : Thales 204031 - WO will also take place in Spain, France, the United Kingdom, North America and Australia.
The group also reaffirmed its commitment to diversity, noting that women accounted for 32% of new hires in 2025 and that the target is for 75% of the Group’s management committees to include at least four women by 2026.
