Schneider Electric, a French producer of electrical installation equipment, has announced the closure of its factory in Benløse near Ringsted, resulting in 132 job losses at the affected unit.
The company states that the closure is intended to strengthen competitiveness and consolidate production at other European facilities.
The transition will occur gradually and is expected to be completed by spring 2027. Local authorities, including Ringsted’s job center, have committed to assisting affected employees in finding new employment opportunities.
