Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Enchem, a South Korean producer of battery components, announced the creation of 100 jobs through the establishment of a new electrolyte production plant in Dunkirk, scheduled to become operational in September 2025, with job creation expected to be completed by 2027. A second location—a marketing office—will also open in Marcq-en-Barœul.
The expansion is driven by Enchem’s strategic decision to strengthen its presence in Europe’s growing battery ecosystem, bulding its first site in France. Several public stakeholders supported the establishment of Enchem’s facilities.
