European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dia Supermercados, the Spanish supermarket chain, will create 150 new jobs at its upcoming 64,000 square meters logistics centre in León, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026. The new facility represents a key milestone in the company’s strategic plan and will serve around 200 Dia stores across Castilla y León and Asturias.
The León hub consolidates the company’s strategy of proximity retailing and regional investment, strengthening its supply chain and supporting its expansion into both urban and rural markets. The project involves an investment of €2 million and underscores Dia’s commitment to local economic growth and job creation in the region, where it already employs around 2,000 people, operates 200 stores, and collaborates with over 100 local suppliers.
