Description
Ørsted, a Danish renewables company, announced 235 job cuts in Denmark as part of a broad organisational restructuring aimed at strengthening competitiveness and creating a leaner, more flexible company.
The restructuring is driven by the completion of major construction projects and financial pressure, partly linked to significant negative developments in the US offshore wind market.
The 235 Danish positions will be eliminated mainly through natural attrition, outsourcing, and redundancies.
Ørsted will reduce its global workforce from 8,000 to 6,000 employees by the end of 2027. The company operates primarily in offshore wind across Europe and selected Asia-Pacific markets.
