Description
Dressel&Hoffner International, a German company specialised in the production of armoured vehicles, announced its intention to extend the activity in Romania and creating 200 new jobs by the end of April 2026. Its parent company, the Welp Group, which has been operating in Romania for eight years, is currently investing in a second location, at Medias (Sibiu County).
In recent years, the company turned its attention to new markets, such as the defence and commercial industries. The components are manufactured in various countries, and with this new investment, the company will start to produce them at Medias, too. The company started the construction of the new unit in December 2025, and the plan is to open the new location at the end of April 2026.
At Medias the company is opening a second production unit, as at the first one is producing interior and exterior components for the automotive industry.
The company invested €10 million for the opening of the second production unit.
