Description
The German AI startup Aleph Alpha plans to cut 50 of its 350 jobs as part of a strategic realignment that began in the second half of 2025.
The company intends to focus its organisation more strongly on customer strategy and concentrate resources on areas with the greatest growth potential. In addition, founder Jonas Andrulis is stepping back from operational leadership and will resign both as CEO and from his planned role as chair of the advisory board. The objective is to support European technological sovereignty and reduce dependence on foreign technology providers.
Aleph Alpha was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Heidelberg. It is funded by major German companies to ensure independence from U.S. firms and compliance with European data protection regulations. The company is supported by a group of prominent investors, most noticeably the Schwarz Group.
