Representatives of the Alfa Minprest Free Trade Union announced that, starting with January, the management of Minprest Serv has been officially notified about the intention of CEO to issue 102 notices of termination, with another 52 individual employment contracts to be terminated. In addition, the trade union commented that social dialogue was treated superficially, even though clear and realistic solutions were proposed to reduce the number of layoffs.
The director of the Gorj County Employment Agency explained that the main reason for the layoffs is starting with 2026, the CEO will discontinue some of the services provided by Minprest. The measure is also part of the restructuring plan of the Complexul Energetic Oltenia, which involves the closure of some mining quarries and cost cutting.
