Telia, the Nordic and Baltic telecoms operator, will begin cooperation negotiations in Finland, covering around 2,000 positions. The company says the move is part of efforts to simplify its organisation, cut costs and streamline operations.
According to Telia’s press release, the negotiations could lead to a reduction of an estimated 280 roles, while 80 new roles may be created. The estimated total number of terminated positions could therefore land at 200. Additional organisational changes and changes in current work tasks will also be implemented.
The restructuring will not affect consumer customer service or Telia shops.
