Description
Ceramika Paradyż, a leading Polish ceramic tiles manufacturer, plans to lay off 140 employees at its facilities in Opoczno, affecting around 13% of its workforce. The redundancies are expected to take place soon, following formal notification to the Regional Labour Office in November.
The job cuts concern production-related positions and were announced in October 2025, amid a broader downturn in the ceramic tile market in Poland and Europe
According to company management, the restructuring is driven by persistently high production costs, especially energy and gas prices, combined with strong competitive pressure from low-cost ceramic tile imports, notably from India.
The company has confirmed that affected workers will receive statutory severance and benefits in line with polish labour law.
Ceramika Paradyż employs over 1,000 people across several plants and is one of Opoczno’s key employers, with a long-standing position in Poland’s ceramic industry.
